HALRAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman made a visit to Harlan County on Thursday.

Coleman visited one of Harlan County's oldest elementary school, Wallins Elementary, to learn more about their plans on the expansion to the building in the upcoming year.

"Rural Kentucky schools infrastructure is very important to me because I worked in some schools that certainly need some help and Wallins Elementary is certainly one of the top schools that could use some help to restructure the building," says Coleman.

After the tour, Coleman stopped by and brought donuts to the miners who are continuing to protest on the tracks.
