Scott Sasina

Scott Sasina is an award-winning anchor & reporter.

The Southern Tier of New York holds a special place in Scott's heart, as he was born and raised in Endicott and graduated from Union-Endicott High School. Scott continued his education, receiving an associate degree in Communications and Media Arts from SUNY Broome and then a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from SUNY Oswego in 2015.

He has 11 years of experience in broadcast news, starting as a part-time reporter and videographer at WICZ in 2012. Scott then joined WBNG in 2014 as videographer/reporter, while still attending school in Oswego. In late 2015, Scott moved to the 12 Sports team for a few months to help with reporting and filming local highlights. In April of 2016, he accepted a morning anchor position where he stayed until August 2020 when he moved to the evening news. He retired from local news in July of 2023 to join the Communications and Marketing Department at Binghamton University.

Scott has been recognized for his work in the Southern Tier, receiving seven awards from the New York State Broadcasters Association, including Outstanding Spot News, Outstanding Breaking News Coverage, three times for Outstanding Morning Newscasts, and twice for Outstanding Social Media Personality.
