Whitley Co. Sheriff’s Office searching for suspected burglars

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - On Wednesday morning, around 9 a.m., Whitley County Sheriff’s Officers and officers from the Williamsburg Police Department were called to the scene of a potential burglary.

It happened on Mountain View Road in Williamsburg.

Officers discovered unknown burglars broke into the home sometime during Wednesday night and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Eventually, the burglars fled the scene taking the victim’s car.

The vehicle is a white 2013 GMC Yukon with Kentucky plates saying 522BZ.

Officials say the GMC Yukon traveled north on US 25 towards Exit 15, but as of now the vehicle has not been located.
