COCCA, FL 2020 offensive guard Richard Leonard (6-4, 285) has announced his commitment to Kentucky.
"First off I would like to start by thanking my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because without him, none of this would be possible. Secondly, I would like to thank my parents and older sister. They have made me into the young man that I am today. They have continuously supported me and been there for me since day one. I would also like to thank all my coaches, both past and present. I would also like to thank my teammates. They push me to get better every single day. I also want to give a HUGE thank you to every other school that has given me an opportunity to play at their institutions. With that being said, I will be committing to further my education and football career at THE University of Kentucky. Go Big Blue," Leonard wrote in a tweet.
Leonard was on campus for Saturday's win over Vanderbilt. He had previously visited. The lineman has been recruited by co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw. North Carolina, Louisville, Rutgers and UCF were among his other offers.
It is the first commitment for Kentucky in the class of 2020.
