BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Union men's basketball hosted their media day on Wednesday, as the Bulldogs prepare for the 2019-2020 season.

The Bulldogs won their sixth straight Appalachian Athletic Conference title, both the regular-season title and the conference tournament title.

"When we won our first regular-season conference championship, it was the first time a Union basketball team had won the regular-season championship outright at Union College since 1971," Kevin Burton said, the Bulldogs' men's basketball head coach for the past eight years.

"So when we did it, we thought it was a pretty big deal. To go on and do that a year after that and then the year after that, and now we've done it six straight years - on top of that, each of those year winning the conference tournament as well. There's no way anybody in their wildest dreams would anticipate that type of success."

The Bulldogs prepare for their first game on the season on November 1st. Union heads to Indiana to play in the Caleb Dimmich Memorial Classic, where they take on Indiana Wesleyan, who was ranked No. 1 last season.
