BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Senior Cheyanne Stidham led Union College to an 84-67 win over Kentucky Christian to open up their 2018-19 season Thursday.
Union took off hot from the start, scoring 26 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early 26-18 lead. The Bulldogs kept the pressure on the Knights getting a 14-point lead after Stidham hit her first field goal of the game.
Union continued to outshoot Kentucky Christian in the second half, leading as much as 19 points after another Stidham layup. The Bulldogs captured their first win of the season having four players finish in double digits.
Union opens the season 1-0, while Kentucky Christian moves to 0-4 on the year.
