Snow clears out, Mountain Classic games on schedule

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) The WYMT - Food City Mountain Basketball Classic will continue Wednesday night despite school closings across Eastern Kentucky early Tuesday morning.

Temperatures continue to rise just above freezing and the snow will slowly taper off as we head into the evening hours.

Main roads are looking better as we head into the afternoon and many side roads already look fine. While there are still a few trouble spots, we expect those to be more isolated tonight or backroads.

Tonight's games begin at 6 p.m. at Perry Central High School. Once again, main roads are looking better as we head into the afternoon hours.

Give yourself plenty of time to travel with backroads or for traffic on KY-15 if you plan to come to the Mountain Classic.

Overnight lows tonight will drop into the mid 20s and some slick spots could redevelop after midnight tonight.
