"It's the Mountain Classic Miracle"; Perry Central wins on last-second shot

HAZARD, Ky (WYMT)- History repeated its self Tuesday Night at the WYMT Food City Mountain Basketball Classic, only this time Harlan County was on the other end.

Perry Cental's Dylan Cornett hit a three-quarters court shot as time expired, lifting the Commodores over Harlan County 47-46.

"Great execution on the play just like I drew it up," said Shannon Hoskins laughing after the game. "No but that was a great shot. When we have the two free throws - best free throw shooter we had in probably 20 years. I really thought we were probably in a good position. We weren't able to get it done, and then a very poor decision to foul 50 feet from the basket, but it all worked out somehow. I don't know.">, said

Harlan County hit a shot eerie similar back in January of 2017.

The entire game Tuesday mirrored that first-round game nearly two years ago.

With a tied game, Perry Central missed two free throws giving the ball back to Harlan County. Gabe Price would get fouled at Half Court with 1.7 seconds remaining on the clock.

Price would hit both free throws to give the Blackbears a two-point lead.
