North Laurel volleyball announces Cary Clark as their new head coach

LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) - North Laurel High School announced their new head coach of their volleyball team. Cary Clark, a native of Louisville – currently from Simpsonville, KY will head the Jaguar Volleyball Program beginning with the 2019 season.

Clark coached at Martha Layne Collins in Shelby County from 2015-2019. He lead the Lady Titans to four 30th District championships and was named the KHSAA Region 8 Coach of the Year in 2017.

Here's what Athletic Director Jimmy Durham had to say about the hire:

“We are pleased the search process landed us with a candidate such as Cary, with and impressive coaching background and a powerful passion for improving volleyball skills and individual student-athlete growth. I expect nothing but continued district championships and our first regional championship in the near future. We will have an open gym session for current and future North Laurel Volleyball Players on Tuesday, May 7th from 5:00 to 6:15 in the NL gym and Coach Clark will be introduced to the parents and alumni at 6:30 in the NL Library.”
