North Laurel avenges regular season losses to South Laurel, moves on to 13th Region final

CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - In a back-and-forth thriller between crosstown rivals, North Laurel came out on top for the first time this season with a 62-57 win over South Laurel. The win for the Jags ends the number one ranked team in the Alice Lloyd College Mountain Top 10.

The Jags had four different scorers in double figures, led by Cole Kelley with 17 points. Landon Young had 14 points and eight rebounds down low. In his final high school game, JJ Ramey tallied 14 points for the Cardinals. Matthew Dalton led South Laurel with 15 points.

North Laurel will take on Knox Central in the 13th Region championship game on Saturday, March 2nd at 7 PM.
