LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - The No. 18 Kentucky Wildcats (11-3) bounced back Tuesday night to improve to 1-1 in SEC play with a 85-74 victory over Texas A&M (6-7).
Kentucky held a 46-34 lead at the halftime break and even increased the lead to 14 points in the second half. But a second-half comeback by the Aggies made things a little too close for comfort late in the game.
TAMU trimmed the lead down to just two points with just under eight minutes to play in the game before the Wildcats extended the lead back to 12 points with under four to play with an 8-0 run.
Tyler Herro once again led Kentucky with 21 points
Kentucky now shifts their attention to the Vanderbilt Commodores Saturday evening inside Rupp Arena. Tip-off is slated for 8:30 p.m.
