BLUEFIELD, Va. – Lance Blakley poured in a team-high 22 points, and K.J. Duronslet registered his fourth double-double of the season as No. 10 Union College dispatched host Bluefield College (Va.) 74-54 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play on Wednesday.
Not even a power outage that delayed the game for over 30 minutes during the second half could slow the Bulldogs down. Union held a 43-24 lead with 15:01 remaining when play was halted to try to repair a shot clock. While trying to fix the clock, the power went out.
Once power was restored, Union pushed the margin to 57-29 as it coasted to the 20-point victory.
The Bulldogs extend their win streak to six in improving their record to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play. The Rams fall to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the AAC.
