Knox Central Lady Panthers look to play together in order to reach their goals

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Knox Central Lady Panthers are looking to go farther in the 13th region tournament this season.

Last year, Knox Central went just shy of .500, tallying a 12-15 overall record, but they went 8-8 in the 13th Region.

The Lady Panthers think that if they can play team ball and play together, they can achieve their goals.

"I think that if we play team ball, that we can go very far," said Zoey Liford.

"I am expecting us to go all the way to the Region Championship," said Emily Davis. "We did pretty good last year, but we just couldn't get that last point."

"We rely on Emily a lot, she's a good leader," said Presley Partin. "She's had a lot of experience with this and she's played for a really long time. We just have to get her to push us and have her push us too."

"I think humbled is the best way to describe us because over the past few years we have been through multiple coaches and we've kind of just been through it together and helped each other through it, we're ready for whatever the world throws at us," said Ryleigh Swafford.
