Kentucky's losing streak in Knoxville stretches to 17 after 24-7 loss to the Vols

KNOXVILLE, TN. (WYMT) – Kentucky football entered Saturday’s game hoping to snap yet another streak this season, that being a 16-game losing streak to the Tennessee Volunteers when playing in Knoxville.

The Wildcats were unable to break that streak, dropping their second straight game, 24-7, falling to 7-3 on the season.

Kentucky was shut out in the first half of play, and didn’t score until late in the third quarter. The points came from a 19-yard touchdown completion to CJ Conrad.

The Wildcats’ losing streak now stretches to 17-games when playing the Vols at Neyland Stadium, dating back to 1984.

Kentucky heads back to Lexington next weekend for their final home game of the season. The Wildcats play host to Middle Tennessee State University (7-3). Kickoff is set for Noon, the TV channel has yet to be determined.
