Kentucky stars appear on Times Square billboard

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen's catching a lot of eyes not only for his performance this season but also because of a new billboard in Times Square.

Benny Snell is also on a billboard as well.

Kentucky football tweeted photos of the billboards in Times Square Monday morning.

Allen has 10 sacks, which is second in the FBS and first in the SEC. He ranks tied for first in the country in forced fumbles with 5.

This extra publicity comes after Allen received SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors following two strip sacks against Missouri. He was also named a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award for the most outstanding defensive player and the Butkus Award for college football's top linebacker.

Allen and running back Benny Snell would be longshots to be invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York in December.

The pass rusher is now being talked as a potential first-round pick in the NFL Draft.
