Kentucky routs Commodores, win seventh-straight game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WYMT) - Give 'em seven.

Kentucky basketball has now won seven straight games following their blowout road win over the Vanderbilt Commodores Tuesday night.

Kentucky used a 33-5 run from the 13:44 mark to finish the first half up 45-15.

The Wildcats improve to 7-1 in the month of January with the 87-52 win over Vandy.

P.J. Washington tallied 18 first-half points with 10 first half rebounds, he finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds for the game.

With the win, it moves UK to 236-40 against unranked opponents under John Calipari. Cal is also within six wins of Joe B. Hall's Kentucky win total.

Kentucky now goes back on the road this Saturday to take on the Florida Gators on ESPN at 4 p.m.
