Kentucky reveals helmets for Citrus Bowl

ORLANDO, Fl (CBS Sports) If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

For the second straight game, Kentucky will wear its chrome and white helmets when they take the field in the VRBO Citrus Bowl to take on No. 12 Penn State in Orlando Tuesday.

The Wildcats debuted the chrome and white helmets in the regular season finale on Nov. 24, a 56-10 victory at archrival Louisville. Kentucky wore those helmets with white jerseys and white pants. It remains to be seen which jerseys and pants UK will pair its chrome helmets with on New Year's Day.

Junior running back Benny Snell provided a sneak peek at the helmet selection on his Instagram page.

Kentucky, who has worn 10 different uniform combinations in 12 games this season, also wore chrome helmets with blue accents and its anthracite uniforms in a 24-10 win over South Carolina earlier this season.

Since first debuting its chrome helmets in 2014, Kentucky has worn its chrome helmets a total of 12 times, going 5-7 in those games. They are 2-0 this season.

The Wildcats (9-3) and Nittany Lions (9-3) kick off from Camping World Stadium in Orlando Tuesday at 1 PM ET live on ABC.
