(WYMT) - Not only did Kentucky and Penn State fans want to watch the VRBO Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day, but it seems as if a good chunk of the nation did too.
Kentucky football tweeted out Friday that the bowl game was the highest rated and most-watched bowl game outside of the New Year's Six games.

The Citrus Bowl had a 4.4 rating and 7.71 million viewers on ABC for the New Year's Day game.
The Wildcats 27-24 victory over Penn State in the game gave the program just its third ten-win season ever. Kentucky now has nine bowl game wins and their bowl record sits at 9-9 overall.
