Kentucky freshman QB Nik Scalzo tears ACL again

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - After practice on Tuesday, Head Coach Mark Stoops announced that freshman quarterback Nik Scalzo will undergo surgery on his knee for his torn ACL. Scalzo tore the same ACL in high school.

Scalzo was a three-star recruit coming out of high school at Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He tore his ACL during the 2018 high school playoffs. The freshman QB will redshirt for the 2019 year.
