LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - Ahead of Saturday's Kentucky football game against Georgia, Mark Stoops spoke with media Thursday night.
Stoops said that he is pleased with how this week of preparation has gone but announced that Jordan Jones has a broken hand.
"He did. He’s playing. He’ll play," said Stoops following practice Thursday. "We’re gonna have the Q-tip brothers out there. He’s also got a broken hand. Just getting banged up. There's quite a few of our guys getting to that point.”
Kash Daniel is also playing with a broken hand, an injury that caused a drop in production from the linebacker last Saturday against Missouri.
But with Daniel already dealing with the injury, Stoops said that Kash has been able to help Jones so far.
“Yeah, he’s talking him through it. He said ‘you’ll be alright.’ Jordan needs a little coaching on that. He needs talked to. But he’ll be okay," said Stoops.
The Wildcats are finishing up preparations for Saturday's game against the Georgia Bulldogs which will decide the SEC East Champion. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on WYMT.
