PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - After picking up an offer from Morehead State baseball in September, Johnson Central's Ryley Preece received his second Division I offer from Marshall University.

Preece has played for the Golden Eagles the past four years. He was a part of the 15th Region championship teams in 2016 and 2017, and a part of the runner-up teams in 2018 and 2019.
Preece had a 1.29 ERA in 2019 with 56 strikeouts, tied for 25th in the state. In the batters' box, he was 15th in the state in hits with 56. He also had 37 RBIs and led the Golden Eagles with a .463 batting average.
The baseball standout also starts at quarterback for Johnson Central. The Golden Eagles are currently 6-0 in 2019.
