Johnson Central sent home by the Shamrocks, Cory VanHoose nets 1,000th career point

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Johnson Central Golden Eagles were sent home in the first round of the Boys' Sweet 16 by the Trinity Shamrocks, 70-28.


Sophomore Cory VanHoose scored his 1,000th career point in the outing as he led the Golden Eagles with 14 points.


VanHoose was the lone double-digit scorer for Johnson Central.

Jamil Hardaway led Trinity with 18 points and was 8-8 from the floor.

Johnson Central concludes their season with a 27-8 overall record.
