Jackson County Generals to play fast for 2018-19 season

MCKEE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Jackson County Generals had a solid season one year ago, going 19-12 overall with a 9-8 record in the 13th Region.

This year, the Generals say to expect a fast-paced game that will be fun to watch.

"It's kind of what I've played for my entire life, for this moment. Just to be able to show my county and my community what we're made of," said senior guard Mcgwire Wilson. "A lot of points, getting up and down the floor fast a lot of fun, energetic, playing hard, diving on the floor for loose balls."

"We've improved as far as getting stronger, I feel like we've gotten faster as a team, we've been in the weight room working out, been in the gym conditioning, just trying to improve overall," said senior center Cody Lakes.

"Offensively we are going to be a lot faster than we have been in the past, we are really looking to push the past and defensively, we are going to be up in your grill," said junior guard Logan Rose.

"We've got some kids who can really shoot it, we've got some kids who can really attack the rim, we are sort of going to be coming at you," said Jackson County basketball coach Jacob Bowling.

The Generals opened their season with Estill County Tuesday, November 27th.
