J.R. VanHoose's KHSAA all-time blocking record falls to Madison Central's Isaiah Cozart

RICHMOND, Ky. (WYMT) - Former Kentucky Mr. Basketball and Paintsville Tiger, J.R. VanHoose, held the KHSAA all-time record for career blocks with 541, until Friday night.

Madison Central's Isaiah Cozart picked up career block 542 in the Indians' 71-49 defeat on the road to Lafayette.

Following the record being broken, VanHoose issued a personal message to Cozart congratulating him for snapping the record.

Following Friday's game, Cozart now has 546 blocked shots.

Cozart is signed to play college ball for WKU.
