LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - Saturday was special for many Kentucky fans but it was an extraordinary day for a boy who got to meet Tim Tebow.
Matthan Ely has Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Ely is from West Virginia but through the Tim Tebow Foundation's Wish Program he was able to meet Tebow.
Ely attended the University of Kentucky and University of Georgia game Saturday and was able to head out on the field before the game.
There is no cure for the disease but his family says Matthan has nothing but a positive attitude.
"Oh Matthan has not quit smiling, he's not slept all week long, he was laying in bed last night saying I'm so tired but I can't sleep, it's just there's a great atmosphere on this college campus," said Valerie Ely, Matthan's mom.
Matthan says he grew up a West Virginia fan but is becoming a fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
