Cumberlands basketball comes in at No. 16 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - After a 21-10 season last year and a first round exit in the NAIA National Tournament, Cumberlands starts the season ranked 16th in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Cumerlands is one of the four Mid-South Conference teams ranked in preseason poll. The poll includes No. 4 Georgetown, UPIKE at No. 8 and Lindsey Wilson at No. 25. Campbellsville and Life also received votes.

Cumberlands was picked to finish 3rd in the Mid-South Conference behind Georgetown and UPIKE. The Patriots have returned NAIA All-American honorable mention Malik Colvin-Seldon as well as Anthony Eaves and Travon Labranche, who both played significant minutes last year. In addition to the returners, the Patriots have added 11 newcomers for this season, including redshirt freshman Jahi Hinson.

The Patriots open the season Thursday, October 25 at home against. Milligan. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
