Clay County jumps out to an early lead, never looked back in win over Floyd Central

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The Clay County Tigers built a 43-15 halftime lead and cruised to a 66-43 win over a short-handed Floyd Central team.

Floyd Central scored 28 second-half points but was fighting an uphill battle to come back after Clay County went up 30 and administered the running clock.

The Tigers move on to face Knott Central in Friday night's semifinal at 7:45 PM. The winner of that one moves on to Saturday night's championship game. Floyd Central drop into the consolation bracket and will face Bell County on Saturday at 12:15 PM.
