Bowling Green East falls in first Little League World Series Game

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa Both teams were strong on the mound on Friday, but Midwest (MN) was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Great Lakes (KY) on Friday.

Grayson Newman started the game for Great Lakes and recorded six outs.

Jameson Kuznia earned the win for Midwest. They allowed two hits and one run over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Carson Timm threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Carson recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Midwest.

Grayson took the loss for Great Lakes. They went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking one.

Chaze Huff and Nick Simpson each managed one hit to lead Great Lakes. Great Lakes was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Harrison Yates made the most plays with nine.

Great Lakes will play Saturday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
