Benny Snell becomes UK's all-time career rushing leader, snapping Sonny Collins' record

ORLANDO, Fla. (WYMT) - Entering the VRBO Citrus Bowl, UK running back Benny Snell needed only 106 yards to tie Sonny Collins'(1972-75) all-time career rushing record of 3,835 yards.

In the third quarter of Tuesday's VRBO Citrus Bowl, Snell snapped that record with a 12-yard touchdown run.

With the plus 100-yard game, it gives Snell 19 career games with more than 100-rushing yards which gives him the most in UK history. Sonny Collins had 18.
