SOMERSET, Ky (WYMT)- The Pulaski County Lady Maroons are looking forward to another season with some new senior leadership.
The Lady Maroons ended their season last year at the hands of Southwestern, losing 68-34 in the 12 Region Tournament. Pulaski County went 17-14 on the season and 3-5 in district play. The Maroons hoping to bounce back this year in a big way with some senior leadership.
"We haven't had any seniors since my freshman year so I mean we've just kind stepped up and then it was me for a while and then Heidi moved so we've kinda just stepped up and been like big sisters to everybody since sophomore year," said Haylee Ridner.
"I've seen tons of seniors before me and I've just watched what they've done because they were great seniors to me. They made me feel included we were all a family most of the time and I'm just trying to do the same thing being a senior just making sure we're all one big family," said Heidi Thompson.
"I've spent a lot of time with them the last two years and watched them grow and mature and get better basketball-wise by far so it's been a good journey," said Chris Adkins.
