Barbara Bailey's Christmas Cranberry Salad

1 package cranberries, ground
2 cups sugar
1 can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
2 3 oz. packages cherry gelatin
4 stalks celery, cut fine
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups boiling water
½ envelope knox gelatin

Put sugar over cranberries while preparing other ingredients. Pour gelatin and water mixture over cranberries and sugar while still hot in order to melt all sugar. Add other ingredients and refrigerate until firm. This can be put in a mold or an oblong serving dish.
