Granny’s Chicken and Dumplings

Cook a whole chicken and strain. Debone.
Dough: Judge to amount

5 c. flour, self-rising
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk

Mix flour and eggs, milk together and roll out and cut. Have broth ready to boil and add 1/4 teaspoon yellow food coloring. Drop dough into boiling broth and cook until done. Do not stir. Pour 1/2 can evaporated milk into dumplings. Stir once after adding milk.
