LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT)- A woman is behind bars in Laurel County after deputies say she was intoxicated and resisted arrested.
It happened Saturday evening off of Lillian Lane.
Deputies arrested Jennifer Maggard, 37.
They say when they arrived, Maggard tried to run from deputies. After a short foot chase and a brief scuffle with a deputy, she was taken into custody.
While being transported to the detention center, deputies say Maggard began hitting her head on the windows in the back of the police car and admitted to using what she thought was a large amount of meth.
Maggard faces several charges including resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
