LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Southern Kentucky woman is accused of driving under the influence.
Verna Evans is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and five counts of wanton endangerment.
According to her arrest citation, she was arrested on Blakely Road in Laurel County Monday just after 7 p.m.
Police say they found five children in the car, who said they were scared she was going to wreck.
Those children were turned over to social services.
Evans was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
