West Virginia deputies arrest 3 men from Detroit in stolen car

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Three men from Detroit are facing drug charges out of Wayne County, West Virginia.

Investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit arrested the trio in Lavalette.

Marquan Peterson, De'Marko Muex, and Javontae Greene were heading to Huntington when they took a wrong turn and ended up in Lavalette, according to deputies.

Sheriff Rick Thompson says the men were in a stolen 2017 Volkswagen Passat. The estimated value of the vehicle is between $14,000 and $17,000.

One of the suspects had drugs on him, said Thompson.

Each man is charged with conspiracy as well as receiving and transferring stolen property. Investigators expect to file more charges.
