LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Laurel County Fair was in full swing on Friday with games, food, motorsports, live music, petting zoo, and tractor pull.
This is the longest running community event, next to the Chicken Festival, bringing visitors from Jackson to Whitley County.
Jimmy Durham, Chairman for the Laurel County Fairgrounds, said he puts a lot of work into the fair, making sure people get the most value.
"A lot of people this is their vacation, their families. We're such a great deal for rides and entertainment, concerts, motorsports. Good family wholesome, clean fun," he said.
This year a new attraction was added. It is called Jurassic Kingdom. It is a show where you can learn about fossils which introduce each dinosaur as they come out.
