Today is your last chance to register to vote in Kentucky's 2019 election

(WYMT) - We have an important reminder to pass along to anyone who plans on voting in the primary election, which will be held next month.

If you have not registered to vote, you must do so by 4 p.m. Monday.

You can register at your local county clerk's office or at govoteky.com. Mail-in registration applications must be postmarked by April 22.

To be eligible to vote, you must:

- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Live in Kentucky for at least 28 days before Election Day.
- Be at least 18 years old on or before the General Election.
- Not be a convicted felon or must have your civil rights restored.
- Not have been adjudged mentally incompetent.
- Not claim the right to vote anywhere outside Kentucky.

The primary election will be held on May 21.

Top ticket races this year include governor, attorney general and secretary of state.
