Voter turnout across Kentucky slightly above expectations

(WYMT) - Voter turnout across Kentucky ended up slightly above expectations.

Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes predicted last week that turnout would be 46 percent.

Unofficial election results show about 1.6 million Kentuckians cast their ballots.

That's just more than 47 percent.
