WHITESBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Wednesday afternoon, The Letcher County Judge-Executive's Office posted on its Facebook page that several items worth thousands of dollars were stolen Tuesday evening from the Whitesburg Little League Baseball Field.

Now, the judge's office said two people were in custody and an ATV was recovered.

Right now, we do not know the suspects' names or what charges they are facing.

The judge's office said sometime between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. that a person or persons entered the Whitesburg Little League Baseball Field and broke into the concession stand and storage shed.

Several items of equipment worth thousands of dollars were stolen. These items included: a pizza oven, hot dog roller and scoreboard remotes.

The judge's office said if the community stands together, they could put an end to this type of behavior.

They also said the suspects stole from children who just want to play baseball.

We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
