Troopers arrest two after Floyd County chase ends in crash

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky State Police arrested two men Thursday after a pursuit.

Troopers started chasing a Pontiac Grand Prix on US 23 in Prestonsburg. They did not say why they gave chase in the first place.

The pursuit continued onto KY Rt. 114, to KY Rt. 404 then to KY 1210. The driver then lost control and crashed.

After a short chase on foot through a creek, police arrested the driver, James Sexton, 30, and Christopher Sexton, 29. Both men were from the Martin area.

The two were charged with several traffic offenses and active warrants, then taken to the Floyd County Detention Center.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more details will be released as they become available.
