SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - A Pulaski County man was arrested Wednesday after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
Kentucky State Police began investigating after learning Rex A. Doane, 34, was talking with a juvenile online. Police said Doane also exchanged illegal files and met the juvenile for illegal sex acts.
Troopers went to Doane's home in Somerset and seized electronics used to contact the juvenile. The investigation is ongoing.
Doane is charged with one count of prohibited use of electronics to procure a minor. This is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison. He was taken to the Pulaski County Detention Center.
