Jury recommends life sentence for 2 found guilty of murdering Michelle Marlow

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Update 11/23
According to Commonwealth Attorney Ronnie Bowling, a sentence has been recommended for Chris Lowe and Lori Mattie.

On Friday Lowe and Mattie were found guilty of the murder of Michelle Marlow.

Bowling said after 15 minutes of deliberation, the jury recommended the two receive life sentences + 10 years.

Friday, a Whitley County jury found Chris Lowe and Lori Mattie guilty of murder.

Lowe was also convicted of tampering with physical evidence charges.

Right now information on sentencing remains unclear.

A trial date is set for two people accused of beating a woman to death with a stick in Whitley County.

Chris Lowe and Lori Mattie are both charged with murder and unlawful imprisonment in the death of Michelle Marlow.

Police said in July of 2017, they found Marlow's body at the end of a trail of blood. They said her body was dragged inside a home.

Lowe and Mattie's trial begins on November 19.
