Update: Whitley County woman accused of murdering family accepts Alford Plea

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Update 2/19/20
Courtney Taylor took an Alford Plea in court Wednesday.

The Whitley County woman was accused of killing her daughters, Jolie and Jessie, and her husband Larry in 2017.

Taylor's Alford Plea includes three counts of murder, but dropped the wanton endangerment charges. She also waived her right to appeal.

Prosecutors recommended a life sentence without parole.

The formal sentencing will be held on April 8 at 10:30 a.m.

Courtney Taylor will appear back in court in January 2020.

Her trial is still set for March 2020, but her next hearing will be January 22.

If convicted of killing her daughters and husband, she will be eligible for the death penalty.

Update 7/17/19
Courtney Taylor will appear back in court in October of 2019.

Court officials say her defense lawyers filed a motion to suppress an interview with police.

The judge will rule on that during the next 30 days.

Her trial is still currently set for March of 2020.
