Update: Coroner identifies man killed by tree limb

CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Update: 10:30 a.m., March 19

We now know the name of the man killed in Corbin Friday after a tree limb fell and hit him on the head.

Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley identified Gregory Siler, 45, of Williamsburg, as the man killed.

Croley pronounced Siler dead at the scene.

No autopsy will be performed.

A man is dead after his job took a dangerous turn.

Authorities tell us a 45-year-old man was working for a tree trimming service when a tree limb fell and hit him on the head.

This happened at a home at Tattersall Trails Estates in Corbin Friday afternoon.

The coroner pronounced the man dead at the scene.

They have not released the man's name at this time.
