Traffic stop leads to discovery of drugs, large sum of cash

LOUISA, Ky. (WYMT) - Thursday, Louisa Police arrested a man after a traffic stop led to a drug bust.

A police officer made a traffic stop on a 2012 Nissan Altima on East Sycamore Street.

During the stop, the officer learned the driver had drugs and other illegal items in his possession.

With the help of a K-9 unit, officers found meth, oxycodone, drug paraphernalia and a large sum of cash.

The driver, Prince Stevens, 26, of Louisa was charged with drug trafficking and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
