A tractor-trailer was destroyed after it caught fire near the Clay County-Leslie County line.

A driver with Clopay Garage company was driving on the Hal Rogers Parkway Wednesday afternoon when he got cut off, officials said.

That is when the driver noticed the tractor-trailer was smoking. He pulled over and disconnected the trailer as the rubber tires caught fire.

Officials said no one was hurt. The trailer was destroyed.

The road was reduced to one lane as crews handled the scene.

It is unclear how the fire started in the first place.
