A home was completely destroyed Saturday morning in Whitley County.

Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department Chief Kevin Gibbs says they were called to a house fire on Fox Run in Corbin around 3:30 a.m.

Gibbs says 23 fire department units responded to the scene and they were able to contain the flames in 45 minutes. Fire personnel stayed at the scene for about four hours to make sure the fire was out.

The 23 units were from the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Woodbine Fire and Rescue and the West Knox Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Gibbs says the three-story home was a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

No one was home at the time of the fire as Gibbs says the owners only live there part-time.

No injuries were reported.
