3 family members sentenced for cocaine trafficking

Three Pike County family members facing federal drugs charged were sentenced.

Roy, Shirley and Larry Blankenship all pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking in March of 2019.

During an eight-year period, the three brought drugs in from out of state and distributed them in the Stopover community.

This is the fourth federal felony conviction for Roy Blankenship. He was sentenced to 85 months in prison while the other two were sentenced to 34 and 33 months.
