Sunshine this weekend ahead of tropical remnants

(WYMT) - Good morning! Your weekend is shaping up to be a nice one.

Saturday & Sunday
The forecast looks like textbook Kentucky summer for the weekend. High pressure will stay in control this weekend. You can expect mostly sunny skies. Stray rain chances cannot be ruled out both days, but we will stay mainly dry. Highs will be in the upper 80s both days, but the humidity level will make it feel like lower to mid 90s. Be sure to wear sunscreen and take your heat precautions.

The Extended Forecast
Monday and Tuesday will feature similar conditions to the weekend, except clouds will be a little more prevalent and high temperatures will be just a bit cooler. The extra clouds will be coming off the tropical remnants of Barry. These may also spark off a few additional showers early in the week.

The better chances of rain come on Wednesday and Thursday as what is left of Barry will be picked up by passing cold front and slung across the Ohio River Valley. On these days we are expecting mostly cloudy skies with a few rounds of rain. Temperatures will be a bit cooler with highs in the low to mid 80s.
