(WYMT) - Rain chances will continue this evening and into the rest of the workweek.
Tonight and Wednesday
Showers and storms will continue this evening as our area is under a marginal risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather. Areas to the north and west are under a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather. The main line of showers and storms looks to move in late tonight around midnight.
The pop-up showers and storms ahead of this line will be our main concern. A few of those storms could be on the strong to severe side. Overnight lows will drop near 70.
Wednesday the Storm Prediction Center put us in a marginal risk (1 out of 5) for severe weather. We will only see a few pop-up showers and storms but those could be on the strong side at times. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s with overnight lows near 70. Rain chances actually look to increase overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
Thursday and Friday
A cold front will move in Thursday and Friday with Thursday being the soggiest.
This front will bring cooler temperatures as well. Highs will be in the lower 80s both days with overnight lows in the low to mid-60s.
For the first Friday night football, it looks like we could be dealing with those scattered showers. We will continue to keep an eye on this trend over the next few days but for now, I would plan on having the rain gear with you on Friday.
The weekend we will see more sunshine with a few scattered rain chances.
Highs will be in the lower 80s both days with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s.
We'll keep those daily rain chances as we head into the new workweek as well. More on that later.
